Professional development is of immense importance and we believe this helps to develop the setting. This is why all staff attend regular training courses (for example paediatric first aid, child protection/safeguarding, health and safety, food hygiene, special educational needs, English as an additional language etc) in order to further their knowledge and understanding of children together with the encouragement to further their career through studying for further qualifications i.e. NVQ courses, Early Years Professional Status, Early Years degree etc.
We are able to offer apprenticeship schemes and student placements for people who want to have a career in the childcare industry.
We ensure that at least half of all staff are qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. The remainder of staff will have a level 2 or be working towards their qualification.
All employees will have training in the following areas:
• Paediatric first aid
• Safeguarding
• EYFS
• Health and Safety
• Food hygiene
• Manual handling
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Risk Assessment Awareness
• Equality Act 2010
All employees attend at least 4 courses a year to ensure their continuous professional
development which can be from child development to sing-
