The Windermere Room - Holiday Club

At Chafford Tots to Teens Childcare Services, we provide high-quality holiday care through our Windermere Room, catering to children aged 4 years plus (this can be reduced to 3 years for the summer holidays immediately prior to the September your child is due to start school). Our club operates during all school holidays, with limited availability during the Christmas break dependant on how these holidays fall. Please contact us for specific dates for the Christmas period.

 

We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with the option of extended hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for an additional fee.

 

Our Approach

The Windermere Club is designed to offer children a safe, engaging, and enriching environment throughout the school holidays. Our dedicated and qualified team follows the vision and ethos of Chafford Tots to Teens Childcare Services and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure that all children experience a balance of relaxation, learning, and play. Children benefit from a varied programme of activities that encourage independence, confidence, and social development. Activities are carefully planned to provide a stimulating and enjoyable experience, ensuring children remain engaged throughout the day.

 

Activities and Experiences

Children attending the Windermere Club participate in a diverse range of activities, designed to cater to different interests and age groups. These include:

•Arts and crafts – including painting, modelling, and creative projects

•Cooking and baking – encouraging practical skills in a fun setting

•Board games and puzzles – promoting problem-solving and teamwork

•Outdoor play and nature exploration – with visits to local parks and nature reserves

•ICT and interactive learning – supervised activities to support digital creativity

•Quiet time and reading – providing a space for relaxation and independent learning

•Sports and group games – supporting physical development and teamwork

 

In addition to on-site activities, we arrange external trips to local attractions such as cinemas, farms, zoos, and museums. These experiences enhance children's learning outside of the classroom, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm.

 

Who Can Attend?

The Windermere Club is open to children who currently attend school, or are due to start school, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:8.

For families requiring care for younger children, we may be able to offer places in our Grassmere Room. Please contact us to discuss availability.
